No drama, gonna see Horace Andy at the Jazz Cafe tomorrow. My mates in Courtney Pine's band so I get a lot of live freebies.

Pick up a copy of:

IN THE LIGHT [HORACE ANDY] IN THE DUB. ON 180 GRAM: SIMPLY VINYL LABEL.

A killer sonically and musically. ;-)

Foetus - 'Hole', 'Nail', 'Sink' and 'Flow'

Jim Thirlwell's 'Flow' never made it to vinyl (!) but despite this it's definately a return to form and I'm going to track down the remix CD 'Blow' soon. After an hour or so of the new(ish) album I put on my worn old copy of 'Nail' and by the time 'Enter the Exterminator' had finished I knew it was going to be a (loud) Foetus day; sometimes nothing else will do

Social Distortion - Mommy's Little Monster

A great record, although imho not as good as the bands later records. If there is anyone who knows where i can get hold of the vinyl edition of "LIVE AT THE ROXY" please let me know.

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me

I don't really get that cosy feeling that I know that I should get. Ms Jones is very skilled, but in my opinion something is missing. The hurt and sadness is there but still....

Right now the record is on loan for evaluation. The next few days will decide whether or not I will buy it. The sound is however really really good, as it should be from a Classic Records 200g QUIEX SV- P reissue.

Gavin Friday and the man Seezer 'Each man kills the thing he loves'

Mines a very poor pressing but it's still one of my favourite albums of the 80's. A dozen bitter sweet love songs including covers of 'Next' by Brel and 'Death is not the end' by Dylan. A perfect album.

Oh Mercy - Bob Dylan

Probably the best sounding "standard" LP I own. I keep playing it as it sounds so great.

"Oh Mercy - Bob Dylan"

Agree, it's a superb recording. I often play it for friends to hear how good vinyl can sound.

Think I'll give it a spin right now!....

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

Alternating between a swedish and a brittish press, the brittish is far better.
