HELP! Broke a wire on my tonearms headshell!

Postby englishbob » 13 May 2012 19:23

Switched on my TT today to play some LP's and came across a loud buzzing sound. In the process of elemination I broke one of the tiny (stupid) cables that join the headshell from the cartridge.

On removing the headshell (from a Linn Basik arm) I found out that none of my spares (that came with my recent cart) will fit because it is not the same both ends.

Please help me track some of these down because I am currently dead in the water!

On the right side of the cable, thats the normal connector for the cart. On the left this is what tucks into the headshell, its like a long flat sort of crocodile end with 3 ridges, or teeth, to it.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!
