Linn LP12 Capacitor values

Postby bubba45 » 21 Mar 2012 20:18

Hi folks
I want to replace the capacitors on my LP12's original power supply. It's the pre-valhalla kind of simple circuit board.

The writing on the large grey Plessey capacitor has rubbed off and the circuit diagram in the 1973 service manual gives 3 different values so wondering which one to use for UK.

I know that I wrote down the values from my old RD11 when I had it but buggered if I can find it now.

Anyone know or able to advise me?

According to the wiring layout for 1973 I would anticipate it was 0.22mfd
0.18 would be for 60Hz.

Cheers Abril.
I had no idea as my knowledge of electronics is limited to being able to replace like for like.
