Sony PS-X75 stopped working. Searching help.

Postby WBD » 17 May 2012 20:08

My turntable stopped working. :( When I switch the power on the plater makes a small backwards movement. A few degrees an then it stops all together. If I put the tone arm in a position above the plater, the arm moves to the tone armrest in a slow movement. There is no reading on the display. There is no reaction when I push the switches. The lamp for the record size detection is working.

Is there any body the can give me some help?

Hello all, there was no reaction to my question on this forum. But my turntable is working again. :D Thanks to the skill-full knowledge Wim Smit a Dutch technician who found the problem. Wim is running a small repair service specialising in old school audio equipment. All y can do is mentioning his website. So for all of you (living near Utrecht) http://www.audiosurvivors.nl/

By the way the problem was located in the power supply. One of coils had a bad contact with de main board.
