The Association: Along Comes Mary/Your Own Love (Valiant 741, 1966 red and black label) The Association: Cherish/Don't Blame It On Me (Valiant 747, 1966 red and black label)
That's true. Both are in excellent condition, although "Along Comes Mary" is in better shape than "Cherish". Both records are clean looking and sounding. The visual difference between them is that the first one I mentioned has a lot of gloss. Anyways, I've got over 800 45rpm records to go through, but won't be mentioning all of them.
The Association: Windy/Sometime (Warner Bros. 7041; 1967 orange label) The Association: Never My Love/Requiem For The Masses (Warner Bros. 7074; 1967 orange label) Badfinger: Come And Get It/Rock of All Ages (Apple 1815; 1970) Badfinger: No Matter What/Carry On Till Tomorrow (Apple 1822; 1970 pressing with star on label)
The Beatles: Help!/I'm Down (Parlophone R5305; 1965 second pressing)- I have to admit that when I tried recording this single with my Stanton D81s stylus in my Stanton 881s cart, the record distorted badly compared to many previous records I was recording from. However, when I switched to my Stanton D810 mono LP stylus, the distortion was far less. I think that from here on out, I'll use this stylus when I come to a record that has moderate or worse distortion. In the near future I'm contemplating replacing this with another copy or the original American pressing on Capitol.
Recent: The Beatles: Yesterday/Act Naturally (Capitol 5498; 1965 yellow and orange swirl label)
Next: The Beatles: We Can Work It Out/Day Dripper (Capitol 5555; 1965 yellow and orange swirl label)
Petula Clark: Downtown/You'd Better Love Me (Warner Bros. 5494; 1964, orange label) Petula Clark: I Know a Place/Jack And John (Warner Bros. 5612; 1965, orange label) I have to admit that my old copy of "I Know a Place" had damage caused by previous mistracking from the previous owner's stylus. I'm recording from my second copy which just came in the mail. (It has been cleaned, as all the other records I received were.)
Petula Clark: My Love/Where Am I Going (Warner Bros. 5684; 1966, orange label) Classics IV: Spooky/Poor People (Imperial 66259; 1968) The Coasters: Yakety Yak/Zing! Went The Strings of My Heart (Atco 45-6116; 1958) Eddie Cochran: Summertime Blues/Love Again (Liberty F-55144; 1958, turquoise label) -This copy was bought unplayed and still sounds new.
The Doors: Break On Through (To The Other Side)/End Of The Night (Elektra EK-45611; 1967 yellow and black label with the woman's head on top) The Doors: Light My Fire/The Crystal Ship (Elektra EK-45615; 1967 yellow and black label with the woman's head on top) The Doors: People Are Strange/Unhappy Girl (Elektra EK-45621; 1968 white, black and red label) The Doors: Love Me Two Times/Moonlight Drive (Elektra EK-45624; 1967 pink, black and orange label) The Doors: The Unknown Soldier/We Could Be So Good Together (Elektra EK-45628; 1968 pink, black and orange label) The Doors: Hello, I Love You, Won't You Tell Me Your Name?/Love Street (Elektra EK-45635; 1968 white, black and red label) The Doors: Touch Me/Wild Child (Elektra EK-45646; 1968 white, black and red label) The Doors: Love Her Madly/(You Need Meat) Don't Go No Further (Elektra-EK45726; 1971 gray label with caterpillar at top)
Jerry Lee Lewis: Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On/It'll Be Me (Sun 267; 1957 classic yellow label) Jerry Lee Lewis: Great Balls of Fire/You Win Again (Sun 281; 1957 classic yellow label) Jerry Lee Lewis: Breathless/Down The Line (Sun 288; 1958 classic yellow label) Jerry Lee Lewis: High School Confidential/Fools Like Me (Sun 296; 1958 classic yellow label)

I love this one! Another that seems elliptically relevant today is Jonathan King's "Everyone's Gone to the Moon."
Or maybe Zager & Evans:
Now it's been 10,000 years, Man has cried a billion tears, For what, he never knew. Now man's reign is through. But through eternal night, The twinkling of starlight. So very far away, Maybe it's only yesterday.
