After a few?

Does your system sound better after you have had a few?
Mine does.
I am now settling down for a listen after having a few and it sounds fab.
I may even have a few more in an attempt to creat that high end sound that would otherwise cost ten of thousands.
Best modification ever.

Mine sounds exceptionally good with single malt. :)
Wish I could afford it more often.

Cheers,
Alec

Its an expensive hobby, but if it makes your hifi sound fab then everyones a winner.
Especially as I have tomorrow off, so now I can make it sound even fabber.

Hi,
The only available product I had yesterday was cooking wine "El Pavo" ("The Turkey").
The opening scene of "Otello", where the ship docks in from a furious sea, seemed more salty than previous occasions! =D>
You might be on to something here!

Thanks,

After a few more than a few last night I was able to feel Adele's breath on my face and during 'Set Fire To The Rain' she nearly set fire to my dining room.
Or that could have been me knocking the ash tray over.

Not really "better" so much as I am less critical... And I agree on either very good bourbon or single-malt. Problem with single-malt in the US is that even the bad stuff is expensive. Bourbon, on the other hand, need not be expensive to be very, very good. Good bourbon (as with good single malt) leaves no head either.

Less critical: A poorly recorded piece will become marginally more listenable through a bit of lubrication. And a well-recorded piece may become sublime. Downside is that I am a cheap drunk - the spread between warm and asleep is narrow.

Turning the lights down or off also makes mine sound better. Looks better, too. Lol!

Although I agree with the lubrication bit and all, do be careful when brushing the needle after a few of your favourite poison. It takes just one slightly less coordinated move to ruin your cartridge.

I am with you on the Single Malt. You just have to trade off buying more equipment versus more Scotch.

So what components are in your main stereo system (I assume you have several systems)?
