Imac turntable project

Postby Fishtails » 29 May 2012 12:39

Ok here goes.

I have built a couple of turntables before, but recently i found an original blue imac. I have ripped out the insides leaving the shell only.

I have decided imwill be turning it into a turntable.

It should take a while and i want to do it well rather than rush.

So here is the fun bit!

I need suggestions for a name!
iVinyl, iRecord.....????

Stay tuned!!

Hi, The only thing I can think of is Iproblem, because Apple will start most likely a law suit against you for using their name. Other then some people think they're not known for having any humour. Sam.

Sorry for the ignorance, but I refuse to buy apple products (my iPod was free). As such, will an lp even fit in an iMac or is this going to play 45s only?

In accordance with my hatred of all things apple "iOver-priced-and-not-as-reliable-as-we-want-you-to-think". Or "iDidnt-play-nice-with-TCP/IP-so-now-im-a-turntable." Or "ha ha iMade-you-pay-for-FreeBSD UNIX!!" All of that was meant in fun, and I don't want to have the apple vs the world argument anymore.
Are we there yet? No, never there yet. Keep it rollin', we're paid by the mile.
