I asked 3 straightforward questions relating to a kit of parts, attempting to get the seller to clarify "what would I get when I open the consignment at this end" and whether the kit was provided as " Fully assembled-just plug & play" quote/unquote...or whether it was supplied per the one and only photo in the ad, which was an unpopulated, bare board with a plastic bag of components laying beside the board; so TWO quite conflicting statements IMHO !! The seller became very rude in reply manner and avoided answering my easy-to-understand, very simple questions...an hour or so later I looked again at the ad in case it was ME who misread/misunderstood or misinterpreted the text in the advert...then I saw he had changed the wording..he must have got away with the misleading advert often enough, aye ! What's the bet he soon changes to a diff' identity and starts it again..
We've all seen posts by members who've been disappointed/ripped-off by jerks online.
I believe in helping each other by naming & shaming these crooks.
But with customer service standards which occasionally strike us as being above average or outstanding I reckon it's not a bad idea to share any "notably good" online buying experiences with colleagues on VE, doing justice to the service providers also.
Hoo-roo for now...
