KEF Corelli sp1051 speakers

Postby JackDH » 19 Jul 2012 00:50

I just today picked up a pair of very good condition KEF speakers at Goodwill for six bucks (couldn't pass them up). I see a pair on Ebay in the UK for 194.00 US and I watched a Utube demo that sounded pretty good on my comp. speakers.I have no way to try them as yet as they don't have the usual clamp connection, what do I have here, are these really that good?

Get a amplifier that will drive them. Feed your computer into it with an adapter cable, the amp to speakers with zip cord, and you will throw your computer speakers away.
A decent amp will give you a nice set-up.
You got a very lucky find!

Cheers,
Alec

They're pretty good speakers. You'll need what's called "banana plugs" to use them - these are industry standard 4mm speaker cable plugs and very easy to find.

They'll also need speaker stands to work at their best.

PS, you definitely got a bargain!
