Best Vintage Wharfedale Diamonds?

Postby ifyoulikethetone » 04 May 2012 22:10

Hey all,

I've read a lot about Wharfedale Diamonds. Some people are saying that while the new 10's form a great series, earlier iterations are more worth hunting down. Has anyone got any recommendations on which series might be best keeping an eye out for? I've heard the 7.3s were a good model...

Bought the Diamond 9.5 six months ago. Love them.

I currently use a pair of Diamond 7.2 in my study. They sound great and defy their small size.

I'm still happily using a pair of the original Diamonds from mid-late 80's!
Work very nicely off my mid 90's Yamaha receiver, Sony CD player, and Technics SL-1210mkII.
I've been tempted by the newer Diamonds, but somehow just never got around to upgrading! :)
