The one advantage of being on the road all of the time is that your parents actually want you at their house when your home. Especially when your father lets you use the enormous upstairs stereo for your music.

Axiom 5 channel (used to be six but one is down for the count...should have mounted it to a wall stud) and with an SVS powered bass cylinder all run by an onkyo receiver. Yes it was originally intended to be a home theatre and not a music room but this is far and away the tightest sounding system I have ever heard and nothing feels out of balance.

If you want a single subwoofer that wont make your ears bleed and still have all the bass you could ever want, that's the one I would recommend.
Are we there yet? No, never there yet. Keep it rollin', we're paid by the mile.

Problems solved! Invested in a pair of 2 way Cornscala's from Bob Crite..These babies are quite large and weigh approx 80 pounds each! they are attached to an older Yamaha a/v receiver and really brouche the sound spectrum nicely. I am waiting for my tube set to return from rehab for the ultimate test.....

My Crite 2 way cornscala's are tremendous.i have powered them from both a sony str-7800 and a 1961 stromberg/carlson tube set. i dragged them outdoors for a bbq and they aggravated all my neighbors!
i am about to finish the wooden boxes in a mission oak stain .i got speaker cloth from an online vendor and it applied without problem using 3M 90 spray adhesive...
ALL I can say is Crite does it right!
