I have all of the above but main system uses Pre/Main amp. Technics SE-9600 main and Hitachi HCA-7500 pre MKI.

Krell pre/amp, Thiel CS2.4's and Cardas wiring in the main system.

Musical Paradise MP-301 mk2 and a pair of hand built smaller monitors in the ski lodge. Still with Cardas though...

Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but it's nice to have two very different systems and two very different choices.

1970's Kenwood KA-7100 DC stereo intergrated amp I purchased new while stationed in Germany 1978.
And more recently (last 10 years or so) Technics SA-GX170 intergrated amp Class H+.
Both have good preamp for MM turntables and low S/N ratios.

Hi,

The last amps were, Musical fidelity A250 (as I remember), ARC SP9 and D70, and now LAVARDIN C62 (pre) and AP150 (power).
I will stay with Lavardin and maybe commute some day to the mono blocks (MAP).
the pre has a MM phono input but I use the Urika in the LP12.

Great sound!

All the best,

Quad 66 pre and 606 power. A great set of amps, and I really like the quirky 66 pre..

It's odd that the survey heading this thread doesn't allow us to list separate phono preamps. And this is a vinyl forum? I run a Manley 'Steelhead' phono-preamp, Leben line level pre-am and Icon Audio MB845 II 'Special' mono blocks. I confess the MB 845's scare the hell out of me every time I turn them on. Valve power amps always make me nervous but the music makes up for it every time.
