Arcam 8R integrated & 8P power amp. Does the 8R act like a pre-amp in this configuration? Or do I tick Integrated?

I used to have a big old 70s Kenwood receiver which I should never have got rid of It had VU meters & toggle switches & looked so cool in a darkened room!

The system I listen to most has an integrated amp, but the systems in the living room, darkroom, and bedroom are all on receivers.

Arcam A75 plus and a Arcam P75 bi amping Bi wired Mission 752 Freedoms..Most of the time..

Sometimes World Audio Pre and Wright Audio Royale se,,Single ended Toobs man..I use with the Missions again..

plus I have 2 x NAD 3020 i and a 3020e..i use with my old B&W DS 2 Speakers,,This set up only sounds right with 79 strand,,and I have tho roll of the treble and boost the bass,,this was my first decent system,,so it is out of nostalgia.. Always regretted letting my 3020i go,,so ended up with two..

Plus also a Leak 1800 receiver..I think it cost me £8.00 Sounds good too,,especially the radio..Can't biwire Missions,,it has a 2 pin Din speaker socket..

The last three systems I have used were separates. I just had to keep upgrading until I finally got a system that makes realise what I was looking for in the first place. No more upgraditis, except for the analog. That's going to be done when I get the money, which is a bit tight right now. It's nice to have something to look forward to.

Yamaha Pre (Great phono section) / Power in main, Technics Pre / Power in other lounge with Yamaha CR840 next to desk on 'phones. Rotel Pre and Quad 405-2 (must check caps) as stand-in if something goes pfut. Nothing very fancy, just too much of it.

I have an Audiolabor VV 2020 pre amp that is splitconnected to a Dynaco 416 and an Audiolab M 480 connected to a set of AR LST and a set of AR 3A. Lots of power that brings the AR's to life and generate a solid sound. Sam

I run an Onkyo TX-SR876 AVR... I really wanted the Prepro version, but it cost more than twice the price.... and once I worked out that it was using the exact same circuit boards and case (the prepro version drops the power amp circuit board) - I picked up the AVR, and mostly use it as a Pre.

So strictly speaking I am using a multichannel receiver, but my setup is Pre-Power - with Quad 606 power amps...
