Hi i have just purchased project prj-essential-bk and due to the fact I don’t live alone I cannot play it through speakers so I have to resort to headphones but I found a headphone amplifier but don’t know if I need a pre amp as well please help the headphone amp is a denon pma 250se

It looks like your turntable is fitted with an Orotofon OM3 cartridge which is a MM level cart and your amplifier has a "Phono" input, but MAY need a phono card fitting. Easiest way is to connect the leads from the turntable to the Phono - in connectors on the amplifier and see if you get any music through your headphones at normal levels. If you do, sorted - if you don't you will either need the additional Denon phono card OR a basic outboard MM phono stage. You would then connect your turntable to that phono stage and then that phono stage into any input of your main amplifier.

thank you for replying do you thinck i should take the risk and buy the denon pma 250se and hope it works and if it dosesnt what sould i buy to make it work?

:) The Denon has a phonostage and headphone out, that is all you need to play your Pro-ject through headphones :D
