Micro Seiki DQ41, help needed

Postby derdualfan » 31 May 2012 10:35

Hello,
for above mentioned TT i need a part to fix/adjust the main weight. I guess it's a spring and/or bushing which is inside the main weight.
Who can help? Where can i get a spare part?
Thanks a lot!

Not sure what you mean by the main weight. Do you mean the weight which balances the tonearm at the correct weight? If so we would need to know which arm is on the TT. I doubt there would be a spring in the weight at the end of a tonearm as I've never seen that and I've had a couple of Micro Seikis.

He might be referring to the little spring tab that makes the counterweight rotate along the spiral thread. The tab is usually in the stub, not the weight, but it's absence means the weight doesn't seat tightly and can't be used directly to set tracking weight. I suspect one could be salvaged from a damaged arm easily enough -- its probably not much different from one arm to another.
