Speed problem with a Pionneer xl 512

Postby waynegro » 02 Jul 2012 09:25

Hi everyone.
I've had a problem with the speed select lever of my PIONNEER XL 512.
It works pefect at 33 rpm but not at 45 rpm.
I've seen the speed change is done by a small lever that moves up and down , moving the belt drive site.
Thank you and sorry for my english...

Hi again.
Maybe I wasn't clear explaining my problem.
Someone knows how can I fix the speed problem?
If the belt drive only moves up and down, How it change the speed?
Thanks again. Wait for your ideas.

Hello there,
Moving the belt up or down changes its position on the motor pulley which should have two different diameters. The larger pulley diameter gives a higher platter speed for the fixed motor speed. It may be that the lever is not moving the belt enough.

Problem solved!!!
I've replaced the belt for a new one, less streched.
