Help with audio on PL-12D II

I read around a little more and my spindle is seized. I had just assumed it was stationary and had no it was a moving part. will soaking it in Isopropyl alcohol help loosen it up?

Success!!!

A little prying with a screwdriver through a sock got it to pop off. After almost losing the little ball bearing, it is all working great!
