Very nice turntable. Fully automatic operation. I have the PL-112D which is the manual version and love it.
Make sure it has the little lateral weight which hangs off a rod to the left side of the tonearm gimbal. They often get lost.

I have the 115D, came without the lateral weight. Just the rod. I found one on ebay for $20. A little pricey but what can you do? I have a Shure M95 on it and it sounds good. A real blast from the past. If it's in good shape that's a good price.

Regards,

Ron.

Well, as you were answering my post, an irresistable buy happened ... got something else for less than $100.00, SL 1500 in perfect shape. Appreciate the responses!!

Get them both! You can never have too many turntables.

+1 to that!

The Technics SL-1500 is a nice table, but the Pioneer PL-117D is a thing of beauty. I own one in near mint condition and it is simply gorgeous - to look at and listen to.

I also own a Technics SL-1200 and have variously owned: SL-1300, SL-1500, SL-1600, SL-1700 and SL-1900. All great tables, but not the eye candy of the 117D.
