Incredibly cheap label protector

I was looking at label protectors (for the sink method) on Amazon and they tend to fall in the $25-$30 range. That seemed a tad pricey for what it is.

So I went looking for a cheaper alternative and here is what I discovered. This came from a YouTube video. If I can find the video, I'll give credit.

So, here is it. Buy two of these:

Buy the handle of your choice. They range anywhere from $0.99 to $50.00, depending on how fancy you want to get.

Drill a hole through the center of each electric box cover. Put one on each side of your record, slide the bolt that came with the handle through the hole, and screw down the handle on the other side.

DONE!

A note.

On one of the covers, the holes in the lid and the foam DID NOT line up, so that one is water tight. The other one, the holes go through, so you'll need to fill the holes with something like caulk, or hot glue.

But, depending on handle choice, you can build one of these for less than $9.00.
