newbie needing help with traktor scratch... ANYONE PLEASE!

Postby mvtech » 12 May 2012 22:53

ok so here's the deal... i've been spinning for the past 2.5 years and little by little have been adding to my equipment. yesterday the latest addition arrived in the form of traktor scratch a6 (this of course comes with updated scratch pro2 and traktor audio 6) I have been round and round for nearly 24 hrs trying to get this set up. each time i think i've got it, i load the interface only for the system to freeze. i have read plenty on the internet about having the right laptop or pc... i knbow that's not my problem, or at least hope not. I have a computer exclusively for this that only runs adobe as an additional program. i think my issue is either the connections, the mixer or the setup within traktor interface. possibly all of the above. if ANYONE can help me out it would mean a lot. thanks!

I think you need a DJ forum.

Cheers,
Alec

I would check that the hardware and operating system meet the minimum specs and that any software/drivers have been installed correctly (for example did you install the software then plug in the device?). To be honest your best option is probably to ask in the Native Instruments forum?

(in case you still need help) start from the basics first & keep it nice and simple, just connect your laptop (with Traktor running) through Audio 6 interface (may have to play with latency in settings)into your amplifier. Run the software in internal mode and see how you get on, then work your way outwards.
