I use the Zoom H1. Awesome little device and it only cost around $180 Aus. It gives you 24/96 in WAV and also MP3 if you want. I RIP all my albums with it and then download them on to my iMac. I then use ClickRepair to get rid of the scratches which works wonderfully. A record can get to 700meg per side if you go with 96k so I usually record at 44k which brings the file size down to something manageable. Only problem with it is that you can't use it hand-held as it's too sensitive and it picks up the noise of your skin touching the surface of the thing so it has to be mounted on a tripod or whatever - damn it.

I am in the process of evaluating a derivative of this:

Mine is the UCA222 which does not have a built in phono.
I've tried out a test with Audacity and my initial impression is very good.
The Behringers cost around £25 ($37 approx) and the Audacity software is free.
Has anyone else tried out this particular package for copying vinyl.

I tried the Behringer UFO202. Very weak bass, too much strong treble. I had to get back to Line in input on mother board.

replaced the Apogee Rosetta in my set-up. The Apogee is outstanding but no more drivers developped for Windows since XP. The Babyface very handy with USB input and high quality converters. Value for money outstanding.
