Got a message back from Eduardo today ..... on my email.

He attached a picture of a Graham robin tonearm. If you do a google image search, its basically the first picture that comes up :?

It seems that he can not find a picture anywhere on the net of a Graham Robin headshell, so he has forwarded to me someone else's complete tonearm and is now asking me how much I would like to pay for the whole unit.

I'm going to stay and play with this joker for a while and start to ask for other some other stuff - any suggestions?

How about that ridiculous turntable that was posted in the "where would you draw the line" thread? See what pic he finds and what he asks for it...

thanks too all!
until today I was a 'silent member' of this board - but now, after reading this thread I'm glad to give a reply. mr. callado contacted me after looking around for a pretty rare gear and astonishingly with offering an item that was sold via ebay in 2009. because this ebay-item was in another forum still documented in a kind of 'back-up' I could trace back all details. ok this was a surprise and of course mr. callado could be the guy who won the ebay auction in 2009. although it was curious there was no reason for doubts. actually I started to google his name with his address and as result I got this thread - and to be honest, I'm glad not to slip ...
thanks a lot & best

Found in my junk file today:

ME>
Hello Eduardo.

I am not looking to spend more than a few dollars per cassette, which would include shipping. Based on the pricing from the UK, I have to imagine the Spain pricing will be similar, but I am willing to see what you can do for sure!

HIM>

i will accept your offer

WTF? What offer?

I'll keep watching my junk folder for more from him...

why is this topic called nigerian scammers ? Nobody knows that callado guy ... We have nothing but a spanish name and a spanish address...very strange ! Have you thought about to put the police on his trail or something ?

The messages were sent from 3 Nigerian IP addresses. Add this to the type of scam and the payment method and it's a classic Nigerian scam. If anyone was to send money to the Western Union number he gives it's highly unlikely it would end up in Spain

FWIW it's pointless reporting attempted scams to the police in the UK as it's so prevalent they only investigate if there is an actual loss is £500 or more, otherwise they just log it...

I happened to see this post today. This guy named "eduardo callado" with email id [e.callado123@gmail.com] contacted me on my mail in rely to my "Wanted : SL-1200 Mk2" thread. When I asked for the details he sent the pic with following message :

"Thanks for your Email and i have attached a Pics of my Gear and still in good condition and perfectly OK,with no rust or dust and very solid in Execellet Condition and i will be asking 200euro and i will need to know your complete home address to calculate the shipping cost to your doorstep, thanks"

It just happened that the pic he was sent was that of SL-1210 on which I was not much keen. Otherwise I would have been shown some interest probably.
