It is the most accurate form of tone arm, as there is no distortion due to the angle the cart is at as it is always at the same angel. obviously manufacturing tollerances come in to play, but this is how the laquer is cut in the first place, so it should be closer if read this wa too.

My turntable is probably the simplest, but here are some shots with my cameraphone. Still not a very good photographer.

Technics SP10mk2 in two layer slate plinth with SME/Oracle 345 arm and van den Hul Frog cartridge. The other arm is a stock Rega RB250 with an Ortofon 530mk2 cartridge which is used for lesser records. The plan is to replace the RB250 with an R200 once I've had the output cable changed.

Here's mine: SME 10 with SME V Gold arm, Ortofon Kontrapunkt b, feeding a TAG McLaren PPA20. The plinth is DIY: eight Foculpods with 1in. thick solid pinewood shelf on top, painted black (needs a couple more coats)

I have a Sony ps-X6 in my main deck (Just recapped it), with an ortofon OM-10 connected to a Pioneer SA-7500. I will update the OM-10 as it sounds somewhat aggressive on the bass.
In my secondary system, I have a Pioneer pl-516 with an audio technica element. This one I also recapped and relubed the motor, connected to a Pioneer SA-6500II.

In the mothballs, I have a Dual 1224 with the well-known "pin issue" and a Pioneer pl-518 awaiting new feet and a recap.
