Hi sportrac. So what exactly did it not do before you changed the coil, and why did you think that coil was faulty ?

Also, what is the #2 microswitch for ?

Hi ld,The original coil in bracket was burned when I got the juke and someone had bridged with another which also was burnt. It cancelled records O.k. for awhile then stopped noticed bridged coil burnt. After checking manual closer found different coil #'s selector assembly & read-out assembly have different part#'s that's when I checked ohms value & found difference.Have ordered part # shown in manual if that works will let you know. #2 micro sw. on high side of cam allows gripper motor to operate when magazine indexed, record placed on table
sw. lever drops into cam groove & operates read-out carriage solenoid. My problem cam lobe not activating micro sw.#2 But re adjusting cam can lock up mechanism so still studying why.Hope I don't have to get in control box to many relays & coils. Thanks again for your help.

Two successive burned coils to me suggests that they are energised far longer than they need to be, perhaps stuck on. I'd look at the schematic to see what switches/contacts energise the burned coil, find and check them first, before fitting the new coil. Suspecting it's stuck 'on'.

So far I haven't had to delve into the deep dark 435 state machine. But I understand state machines and logic, so if there's anything in the schematic or manual you get stuck with I'll try to help.

OK, I get the #2 microswitch, looks similar on the 435.

Hi Sportrac again, have rock-ola 426 running except micro sw.#2 will not put tone arm on record, when manually depressing micro sw. #2 tone arm will set down on record. Have set micro cam switches as described in manual but I must be missing something, no help from manual. Hope someone has a suggestion.
Thanks

Hi sportrac. Can you post a pic of the cam which is meant to trip microswitch #2 on the 426 ?

Hi ld,Am sending you pdf file on this animal hope you can open gives you
most of manual.I think page #11 shows micro cam.that is moved by gripper motor seems for some reason doesn't engage micro sw.on cam roll far enough. It cancells play when sw.first comes off cam like it's supposed to but doesn't move tone arm when depressing sw. will work. Hope I'm not confusing, little hard to express. but want to thank you for being understanding first juke box repair for me.
