Yes, the "M-10x E" looks to be a good quality basic unit and will protect your equipment quite well.

If you could stretch your budget a little further, I believe the "AC-210 A E " represents excellent performance per unit cost. It offers a higher level of filtering than the "M-10x E" and should provide for a much greater degree of both protection and "silence" for your hardware.

If you needed more than the two protected outlets than that provided on the "AC-210 A E ", you could use a simple Power Board to facilitate this, while being careful not to exceed the overall rating of 10A.

One final post Based on the specs on the AC-210 A E and the PL-8 C E, they have the same features, only the PL-8 C E have more power outlets and some light (that I dont need).If I'm gonna buy a power conditioner to try to eliminate power noise, I might as well plug all my hi-fi gear in. Hopefully I can get rid of groundloop and hum as well. It "only" cost ½ the price of both the Xindak XF-2000ES and the Furman PL-PRO DMC E I was looking at from the start and 1/4 more than the AC-210 A. This means I can afford it when the pay comes in at june

Excellent idea...

The "PL-8 C E" will certainly simplify things. The "light" they refer to is relevant mainly to rack-mounted hardware inside a cabinet, as in a recording studio for example; it's meant to provide some illumination when a 'rack' is withdrawn to facilitate cable disconnection/connection, etc.

Glad I waited a bit with the power conditioner and went on for a new solid state pre- and power amp first. Now it's dead silent. It seems like the transistor pre and tubepower gave background noise.

Nothing like being able to get back to listening to all your favourite Vinyl without any attendant and very annoying noise.

You got that right. And last night we watched a DVD movie with the sound over the speakers. Nice when the scenes are quiet where they are supposed to And that goes for CD sounds as well.
