If you are a fan of the original sound do keep in mind that the constuction of the woofer, glue seam and all, was unique to this speaker. The links you posted describe this.
I would try to find somebody, they must be out there somewhere, who can restore the woofers you have.
Sold Yamaha when these were current and they were not my favorite BUT if they light your fire - enjoy!!
