The above 2004 article by Peter Giles provides an interesting summary of turntable setup considerations. However, it contains errors of historical facts.

Peter states, in the lower part of the middle column of the third page, that Baerwald solved the lateral alignment optimisation problem in 1941.

For the record (no pun intended!), Erik Löfgren solved it in 1938.
