Best Arm - Cartridge combination

My vectored PT1 is being held up by arm problems. I was wondering what my options were as I would really like this project up and running for Christmas.
I will be using a Denon DL304. What arms should I consider if I can't get my Mission 774 sorted out. I have read that the 774 is a little hard/cold. What would be better for my musical taste that includes a lot of acoustic material.
Maybe someone has an arm for sale that would work for me.

I'd try any of the Helius arms (sorry to keep banging on about these arms but they really are good on a PT and using a variety of cartridges)or alternatively an AudioMods kit or a Notts Analogue arm or one of the Audio Technica arms or an FXR-II or an Inspire X-100.

I'll back up Rolleye there with the NA arm. As you know that s the combination I run on my past PT and although a strange pairing, it actually worked superbly. Would easily handle a 304.

If you want and as a 'stop gap' while you sort the long termer out, I have a spare Linn Basic Plus I could loan. Whether it would be good choice for a 304 is questionable, but who know.

I see there is a N.A Ace Space as well and I may consider splashing out for one if it's likely to be worth the dosh.

Can anyone comment on the two NA models on the bay? Any idea of values?

I've had a Hadcock on an Anniversary for 6 years which I found to be a very synergistic pairing. There is a warmth and fluidity about this arm that suits the PT character.

I use a Notts Analogue Mentor with a Grado G1 and its very good (S/F is also a paid up member of the NA fan club )

this is mine on a modded PT Too, the additional weight on the headshell has now been placed in its proper place underneath

The arm looks good too. Much nicer than the one on the bay.
Well this arm has to be on my shortlist. If anyone spots one please let me know.

Which model is that?

GH228 believed to be 1980's. A nice light arm with Linn geometry. An improvement on GH's earliest efforts. I use a specially made washer to mount in a Linn cut armboard.

Absolutely. Although as you know I don't have a PT at the moment (will change in the new year) the Space arm still works wonders on my sons Blue Note deck.

As for the Hadcock 228, much to some peoples better belief I rate this arm highly. May be it does not have the complete flexibility of say the Mission 774 it certainly has very similar sonics and equally as competent. Although I never tried it on the PT when I had one it is not a pairing I would overlook. Improves no end of you replace the counterweight with one of the XTCW items for sale on E-Bay.
