Damn, lid of my anni is carry a charge and is wafting the tonearm around, given the chance.

Are you sure that is the problem; I had similar symptoms with my FXR on the Vector; it turns out the lid (when closed) was just touching the top of the counterweight, exerting enough pressure to pop it out of the groove and swing back towards the armrest.

Cheap cure is to lower the suspension evenly a millimetre or two; the other solution is to buy an underslung counterweight of some kind...

Tim , you know what, you're right! I had raised the arm and dusted the lid, thus the confusion. With the 5mm acromat I've no chance with the funk firm fxr counterweight, but have the original rega counterweight so can go over to that. Reckon we should start lobbying for further supplies of 3mm blue acromats, would be my preference...

The other option is to raise the hinges a few mm on the rear of the plinth. It doesn't fully seal when it's closed, but otherwise foolproof (enough for this fool anyway)
