Music Hall mmf 2.2 Record Turntable or the projec-essential
is there a big difference ?
and can yall recommend some cheap "good" amps

The 2.2 is more like the Project Debut, maybe a little better. I think it gets close to the 1Xpression so I would go with the MH. I use a Pro-ject Phonobox II with my Debut and it is a great match and affordable.

The 2.2 is a downgraded Expression. Same basic turntable minus the acrylic platter and carbon arm. Lots of good amps in the used market. For new it's hard to beat NAD for value.

The Music Hall MMF-2.2 is a better table than the Pro-Ject Essential. Better cartridge and specs (speed deviation, rumble, S/N, and wow and flutter), and adjustable VTA to boot. Of course, it should be better. It costs $150 more.
