Bought a couple the other day:

Ali Farke Toure: The Source - they released a record, only ever had a CD up to now.

https://d4h6q2p9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-co ... Savane.jpg

Ali Farka Toure: Savane

A lot of Ali Farka Toure's albums haven't been released on record and I've only had CDs so this is great. Also, haven't heard Savane before.

One of my top ten favorite bands that I rarely see up for sale so that, no, I didn't get them for just a couple $. Doesn't matter. Worth it.

Got a nicer copy of Tubular Bells yesterday in the mail. I was worried that it would be damaged as something saucy spilled all over the cardboard shipping box!!

But it turns out everything was nice and clean inside the polybag that it was all packed in. The bag was unusable though. All oily and smelled of soy sauce.
It's not an exact replacement of my noisy copy, as it is a 76 re-release but it sounds so clean. Also I don't really care haha

Did some digging over the last couple of weeks.
Kansas City is flush with new record stores right now.

I visited Sister Anne's Records and Coffee and left with a couple of good ones.

Wow, noisefreq...You've been really finding the deals on the good stuff, eh? =D>

My vinyl mentor turned me onto Beaver & Krause a long time ago...If you like "In A Wild Sanctuary", look for "Gandharva" and "All Good Men", as well as "The Nonesuch Guide To Electronic Music"...If you dig the sounds of the Moog synthesizer, look for albums like Dick Hyman's "Moog: The Electric Eclectics Of Dick Hyman", Hugo Montenegro's "Moog Power", "Everything You've Always Wanted To Hear On The Moog (But Were Afraid To Ask For)" by The Mighty Moog, Gil Trythall's "Switched On Nashville (Country Moog)", Walter Carlos' "Switched On Bach", Gershon Kinglsey's "Music To Moog By" and the two CD's from The Moog Cookbook, 1996's "The Moog Cookbook" and 1997's "Plays The Classic Rock Hits"...Worth getting if you're a fan of hearing a wide variety of music all synthed up! =D>

Score!! 8) Some really nice albums there. . . 'Record Store Crawl' (as opposed to a pub crawl) :D
Nothing like it in Brisbane that I know of, we only have a couple of second hand record stores. . .

I've resorted to buying online, a few UK ebay sellers have free shipping to Australia - for the cost, so far it has been worth the risk. There is nothing like flicking through albums in a store though :D

Currently waiting on delivery:-
Return to Forever - I love contemporary Jazz
Santana - Caravanserai (replaces my damaged copy)
Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer group Live
