Quite a milestone. I was wondering if anyone is planning
on spinning some Stones to celebrate? I'm going to start
with my favorite, Let it Bleed, followed by Sticky Fingers,
then see where it takes me from there. You?

I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

50 years of the Greatest Rock and Roll band in the world, we truly are blessed.

Geez I hope they do one more tour down under, actually I think they should release a new album, call it "England's Oldest Hitmakers" include about half blues covers and half new material and do one big worldwide tour (over a couple of years, don't want to tax them, they really are getting on) and tour with a Stones supergroup - see if Bill Wyman will do one more tour and see if they can get Mick Taylor back for one big finale (6 member lineup!). Can't see it happening but it would be great.

Love the Stones. I saw them live in 1990 and they looked old then! They have a swagger that's their own and have made some wonderful tunes - but as for the best rock and roll band ever to tour the planet well I reserve that that spot for Percy, Bonzo, Jonesy and Jimmy!

Back when the Stones released "Steel Wheels", David Letterman reported that their upcoming tour to support the album would be called "Steel Wheelchairs"!

I remember in the early 1970's reading an interview with Mick Jagger in which he contemplated what he would do as an older man (rock 'n roll being a young man's game). He stated that he could not imagine himself "doing that bump and grind at 40." Rock 'n rollers should be careful what they say!
