Cure all for scratchy records!

I found a fix for scratchy noisy records ..... listen to them while cooking bacon! You won't notice any record noise, it works!

Perfect! Two of the greatest inventions, records and bacon.

Bacon+Music=Happy Household

I actually thought the crackle on records was someone cooking bacon in the recording studio!! :)

Maybe a good spread of bacon fat on the disc itself to help the stylus glide more smoothly ? Best you try it with Pink Floyd's "Pigs - three different ones".

In the song 'Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast' on Pink Floyd's album Atom Heart Mother, someone really is making bacon!

Ohhh so many good replies .... I just cringe when I hear bad pops and noise. I was spinning my Deep Purple best Of LP and it is very scratchy except for the one song I got it for .... Black Night which is the only MINT track on that record. Got it from a friend who treats his records horribly and blames it on friends doing it at parties he has had over the years.

Ummmm he has hundreds of records and I doubt ONE single record out of 10 is in good shape.

That's all fine and dandy, but I'm a veggietarian. Does that mean that I'm scr*w*d or would baking tofu also do?

Have to use vegetable oil instead of bacon grease or butter (the key ingredients in all southern cooking). In my fridge you will find a small metal bowl with bacon grease in it for just this purpose (mmmmmmmm mustard greens cooked.in bacon grease with a big slab of fatback).
