Name that LP cover quiz...

Looks like the guitar one was too obscure (Julian Breams Plays Villa-Lobos), so here is another one.

22600

Clue: British, instrumental, innovative, and the producer made a name for himself.

Looking on Google images I didn't realise how many releases Telstar had had.

Seen the Joe Meek film?

I'll put one up later when I've had my breakfast.

OK, this album is from an American singer-songwriter, it was released in the mid '90s. This is the entire sleeve - the title was on a sticker which could be removed - a common trait with records on this label.

22603

Here's my original mono Telstar LP

22611

and here's the Julian Bream no-one guessed (RCA, circa 1970)

19982

I haven't seen the Joe Meek film, but have read a fair bit about him over the years. It is a tragic story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Meek

:D Thanks, brain_spo0n. I wonder what your two favorite record labels are.

Looks like the Mark E Smith's Dentist has stumped us all. How about submitting a new cover, dentist?

I'll put something else tomorrow unless anyone else wants to add something in the meantime.

It looks familiar, I'm sure this is an album that's passed through my hands. Is this picture from the front of the sleeve? I feel it's likely to be German and from the '70s. Am I close?

JT,

You got the era right but I doubt it was an original copy of this LP that passed through your hands. You might be confusing this with the German Prog/Space Rock band Analogy with the romping nudes. To help you the band is not European and this is pretty much the image of the entire front cover less the bands name.

That has a South American look to it.
