We old spritzers have to stick together lol. I do the same thing ... funny how common sense tends to lend itself to people who know what they are doing.
here is my old 70s one I have owned and used since the 70s. it finally split so i got the new one I posted above. I should be good for another 30 years eh?
I'll use this one for very heavy cleanings where I really need to soak it with cleaner after my hand washing method. I'll just use the new one for light duty regular use.
yes I used a stapler and popped staples in there to tighten the fabric back up and it works on records still beautifully.
Can this material be purchased? That would be great if so, I could then just attach a new fabric and glue it to the wood handle. There is a slab of wood that the cloth is glued on and then that is glued to the wood handle. i have already had mine apart as the wood slab let go a while back as well. Industrial contact cement fixed that properly. I masked off the wood so glue would not spray on it obviously.
