There are a few decent stores in Ottawa, Vertigo on Rideau Street and Birdman on Bank St are the best for vinyl, Compact who have 2 branches on Bank Street also carry vinyl as do CD Warehouse who have branches outwith the downtown core, but I find are pretty overpriced. There is also The Record Shapp on Gilmour St (just off Elgin) which is quite small but has a decent indie selection, and Turning Point on Gilmour at Bank is motly second hand.

Hi-fi store Planet Of Sound on Bank carries a small selection of, mostly audiophile, vinyl, but you can occaionally find gems in it a.

IMO Vertigo is the best.

Selling new Vinyl and CDs in Guildford, Surrey...

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair (Douglas Adams).

Underground Sounds in Louisville KY. Cleanest and nicest selection of used vinyl I've seen. Good selection of new stuff and a great vibe to the store. Very hip selection of music.

Just walked locally and found a new vinyl/CD shop to open shortly here in Waterloo, Liverpool. There is hope.

Will give a verdict once it is up and running.
