Great thread! I started talking about this with my wife and my two sons and we came up with a top 10.

1. Boston - Boston
2. Van Halen - Van Halen
3. Pat Benatar - In the Heat of the Night
4. Cars - Cars
5. Gun's & Roses - Appetite for Destruction
6. Foreigner - Foreigner
7. Heart - Dreamboat Annie
8. Dire Straits - Dire Straits
9. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
10. Metalica - Kill 'em All

I think it's funny that so many of these debut albums are named after the band.

Hi, I agree with many of the choices on here and regularly play and enjoy Zep, Sabbath, Dire Straits, Talking Heads etc and their popularity will always win votes in polls.

My own vote goes to Gentle Giant $\:D/$
