The first album on the deck to test my new 2M Bronze cart. Sounds fantastic! Jimmy's riffs and Jonesy and Bonzo's rhythms just blow me away! I just can't decide which is my favourite track. Which is yours?

Got to say Kashmir is one of my favorites. But there are several great tunes on that album. :D

For me it's between Kashmir and Trampled Underfoot. But yeah, one of the best Zep albums out there. Really wish I'd have a copy of this...

Great Byrds tribute. The Mock Turtles, Dinosaur Jr., Thin White Rope & The Chills deliver.

Yeah, that's a great album. I haven't heard this in years, but I remember really digging the Dinosaur Jr. and Richard Thompson tracks. It seemed there was a pretty good stretch of tribute albums that came out in the very late 80s. I had the Roky Erickson tribute Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye that was really good, and I'm Your Fan with people covering Leonard Cohen. The best of the bunch was the Bridge, a Neil Young tribute album. The Flaming Lips do After the Gold Rush, Pixies do Winterlong, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds do an incredible take on Helpless.
I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

Yeah CPE, I have every one of those that you listed. Unfortunately, none of them on vinyl, just the Byrds one. The Bridge I only have on cassette.

The Byrds Greatest Hits. Signed by Roger McGuinn. Met him twice. An odd fellow, but friendly.

Mine too :D

I've had my spine tingled most of the day by Percy and his pals through my new 2M Bronze :D

My three favourites are:

1. In My Time Of Dying
2. Ten Years Gone
3. Sick Again
Do what thou wilt

Can't say his more recent tunes do much for me, but his earlier work is just amazing. I got Let Love Rule on cassette when it first came out after reading the Rolling Stone revue. I think I was 16. It's one of those really rare albums for me where I listened to it about 6 times in a row and thought, "well, this changes everything."

I don't get the love affair with this album. Lots of filler IMHO. This could have been a good single LP. FWIW, there are several Stones' albums I'd rank ahead of this one. Goat's Head Soup is my fave by far.
