When they first came out, I convinced myself that both Electric & Sonic Temple were great. They are not, IMO. I don't like Electric, Sonic Temple or Ceremony. The Peace versions of the Electric album songs are far superior. Billy Duffy fancying himself a guitar god ruined The Cult for me. Saw Ian fronting The Doors a couple times, damn good shows.

One of the first CD's I ever bought was The Cult-Rockers Ravers Lovers and Sinners or whatever it was called. I think it was 1993 or 94. It was their greatest hits package and I have to tell you it still ranks as one of the best if not "the" best greatest hits albums I have heard. Love it all the way through. I was lucky enough to see them a few years back. What a great show that was. A Canadian band, Controller Controller, opened for them and they were superb as well. I think they have disbanned (Controller Controller, I mean) but look them up, they're great too.

RCA Dynaflex version. I see a lot of derogatory comments about the Dynaflex issues. I have to say the detail & sound stage was very well defined. I could hear muted tambourine and rim shots and lots of separation. Pretty impressive for a 70's live recording.

Just finished setting up the new cartridge (Ortofon 2M Red) with the Shure tracking force gauge and am listening to Bowies "Tonight". Not his best album by any stretch.
