83rd Dream is a great song. Wish they would have followed the course of this, Love, & Peace. Oh, well.

When Electric first came out, I remember being taken aback at how straight-ahead "rawking" it was. It took a while to get used to that version of the Cult after being such a fan of Dreamtime and Love. In fact, I still have a little hesitation when I listen to Electric. I think Sonic Temple is pure genius, though.
I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

When they first came out, I convinced myself that both Electric & Sonic Temple were great. They are not, IMO. I don't like Electric, Sonic Temple or Ceremony. The Peace versions of the Electric album songs are far superior. Billy Duffy fancying himself a guitar god ruined The Cult for me. Saw Ian fronting The Doors a couple times, damn good shows.

Oh man. I remember how we used to just wear out Aphrodisiac Jacket. We (my high school boys and I) would get together and cruise in Donnie's Ford Escort hatchback. We'd play the song over, and over, and over on this crappy little cassette boom box. By the time we got done, our voices would be about shot.

Love was such a great album too. I tried to like Sonic Temple for a bit. It just never stuck to me.

Yeah - there's three that have been on my want list for a while.

Do you have "Duke Ellington Meets Coleman Hawkins"? One of my favs.
