I bought me, some records. Nick lowe's, "Jesus of Cool". I've had the American issue, Pure Pop for Now People since it came out in the late 70's. His best ever release. Got Sun Ra's "Jazz in Silhouette". Space Jazz from the 1950's from a real gone cat. Then there's Steel Pulse's "Earth Crisis". And Sly & Robbie's various artists release of "Sly & Robbie Present Taxi". And one last gem, a 45 of Amos Milburn's "Christmas come's but once a year". It will seem like Christmas in June with all the cardboard flats arriving by mail.

Oh how I love the Jon and Vangelis album you show in your latest catch, it sounds so good on vinyl, I end up playing it much too loud :D

Found a copy of AC/DC - For Those About To Rock - for £2 in a local charity shop at the weekend.
Inside were the vinyl only of High Voltage and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. These latter 2 were in a white poly lined sleeve and the original High Voltage inner sleeve but not the outer cardboard sleeve.
All 3 of the vinyl's play excellently, they just need a clean to get rid of a little surface noise but otherwise near perfect. The sound quality on all 3 pressings is superb and they are reasonably thick vinyl.
May not have the outer cover for 2 of the LP's but still a good score for £2.

Hmmm that Genesis album is one I lost during a moving out with a woman I was living with. I need to find one ... I've already replaced virtually all the others I "lost".

Nice haul there and yes please do come by and post your new wares.

Thanks guys! Plenty of inspiration for the coming trips to the record store here...
So far I've only cleaned and listened to the Eric Sardinas and the Simple Minds album. My dear old mother just moved to a new apartment and I've been working my proverbials off over there...

My new oldest record(s)

22367

From September 14, 1956, Helmut Walcha plays The Art of Fugue by Johann Sebastian Bach (in Stereo). And not a scratch on them, with a little card of composer/production info (in German) and a book about the music, artist, and organ(in German, English, and French). Pretty cool for $6 on ye olde auction website.

Indeed, great music. Only thing is, my speakers don't go low enough for some of the pedal tones! Headphones it is I guess.
