Here I am! Sorry, it took a long time. Very busy days...
Basycally, you just have to follow the instruction in the service manual, page 15, were it discusses the "Adjustment points" for the "Replacement of cue control plate". Of course we don't replace anything, but we need to adjust following that procedure.
On the tonearm lift itself, you need to turn the bush "206". You will see it in the Fig. 13 at page 13 in the manual. By turning that you can set the highest point the tonearm lift will reach. Try doing one 360° turn in one direction and turn manually the platter as described - you'll immediately find out the right direction, I forgot it. The automatic start and stop will alway raise the tonearm up to that point. This may be a bit too high for selecting a sigle song, that's why you have the "official" tonearm lift adjustment as described in the user manual. That's useful for having a lower height when placing the stylus manually somewhere on the record, but it will never go higher as the maximum height set for the automatic function.
I hope it helps... I'm really happy that I could fix it. It's a wonderful turntable, you need a lot of money to get something better souning!
Italian greetings from Switzerland!
