Dual 1019 buzz

Postby chrizpah » 19 May 2005 00:42

My dad just decided to give me his old Dual 1019. I'm a newbie to the turntable world, so I plugged it in and threw on a record. It seems to work fine, but there is a constant low buzz that I hear.

Wondering if you folks know what the deal is. Also I see a grounding wire....what the heck do I ground to?

And one last request...tried to download the manual and service guide, but I keep getting kicked out. Can anybody send my the pdf?

Thanks a bunch

The grounding wire should be attached to the grounding post on the back of your amp. If you dont have one attach it to one of the case screws.
The hum will then disappear.
