Dual pitch belt

Postby djkent » 02 May 2005 05:36

I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than I would jump in but if it is like other Dual belt drives it is not to tricky. The pitch belt goes from the adjustment knob to an assembly with a nut atop and a stop wheel below. Start with the adjustment knob centered and the stop wheel centered (there is a dog on the wheel that limits its rotation - you want it in the middle of its range). Both of these positions should be maintained as the belt is installed. Then with them still centered, the nut at the top is used to set the rotation of the platter at 33 1/3 rpm if necessary. If you turn the nut, you might want to put a drop of Loctite or finger nail polish on it to hold it in place afterward. That's it - if you have problems, lets me know.

Enjoy,
Daryl

OK Daryl, but how do I get the pitch control belt around the knob? Do I have to lift the whole upper plate off? It seems that to remowe the turnplate is not enough.
