The CS-5000 was a Quartz controlled, semi-automatic, belt driven tt.
I would go for the Dual which is a nice tt with underestimated sound qualities. The Dual will not be as much a part-tt as the rega and will probably not be the tt that captures you instantly, it will however prove to be a very good tt in the long run. The main problem with the CS-5000 as with most Dual tt.s, is the arms bearings, I would advice you to check the bearings begfore buying the tt.
Here is a link to a review of the CS-5000. My view of the Cs-5000 is more favourable than the reviewers although I share his basic concerns.http://www.hi-fiworld.co.uk/hfw/oldeworldehtml/dualCS5000tt.html
