Start and Stop button on dual 626 dont work

well i have dual 626 and these two buttons dont work, the lift button works ok. So, when i press start button the needle rise, vinyl start to rotate and after a few moments it stops and a needle go down. when the record is playing and i press the stop button, the needle go up, and then after a few seconds it go back down and continue playing. if someone had or solved this problem i would be very very grateful, tnx!!!

Sounds to me like you have the famous Steuerpimpel problem. Basically, what the Steuerpimpel is is a plastic piece that helps guide the tonearm to the "start" position when the auto mechanism is engaged. Replacing it should fix your problem.
