When I plugged it in the unit came on, but the platter didn't move.

When I removed the platter the belt was off and though I can see two points where the belt should come around I can't figure out where it should be looped because of the length of the belt, or if it even should be looped at all.

Hello Tristla,

Welcome on your first post and on joining the VE today. My first recommendation is to look in the instruction booklet for your component. If you do not have it, you may possibly get it in this forum. Just look in the Library section and look for the brand and model.

If you do not find it, then you might say what it is, what brand, what model and year. We might get something started towards a solution.

Regards,
