Yes - it sounds a bit odd. I would imagine that the cost unravelling everything won't be trivial, especially in the current economic climate.

I'm off to the Swindon (ex Audio-T) branch this afternoon in search of a new CD player...it will be interesting to see what they have in stock and what the attitude of the staff is.
