Pic of your part of the world?

Postby cafe latte » 13 Dec 2011 03:32

On my other thread about snakes it came up about pics of my farm and the part of the world members live in. As VE has members all over the world it seems if we post a pic of were we are it may be interesting :D .My pics are already on the snake thread so I thought there is no need to repost them.
Looking forward to see some interesting places :D

LOL! I will admit that when your snake thread progressed to pics of your farm and the bulls, I did think of suggesting a separate thread (but I had second thoughts and chose to keep my mouth shut obviously, hehe!)

So, yeah, good thing you started this thread!

Here are some pics I found which will give you an idea of how my hometown looks like (in the Philippines). We are from the Bicol Region where the Mayon volcano is found (known for its nearly perfect cone).

Here are some pics (which I nicked from my bro) of when he & his friends went to the mountain just a few kms from our place:

... and here I'm re-posting our house (for those who didn't read the snake thread):

We have fruit-bearing trees around (planted by my dad himself!)-- papayas, guavas, bananas, mangoes, avocados, chicos, coconut trees, etc. :D

You can see some of those trees here (I can't find a better pic):

Maybe I'll post some Dubai pics as well...

CL, I think you should also re-post your pics here (and add more if you have 8) ).

How about some hidden places of wonder from boring old Blighty, Jas you live in an amazing part of the UK, any pics?

Feeling rather lowly after seeing the pictures of 'your beautiful parts of the world', green trees, grass and rolling hills, here's a couple of photo's of the beautiful part of the world I have to live with for over six months of the year:

19704

My actual home and abode.

19703

The typical wonderous beauty I have to view out of my landscape window
