LPGear.com Problem - Anyone Home?

Postby kerne » 08 Oct 2011 03:56

Anyone had any problems with LPGear lately? I placed my first order with them a week ago specifically because they had a cart on sale I wanted. They charged my credit card, and then nothing. The order still shows as "pending" on their site and my three emails to them have gone unanswered.

Should I wait and keep trying to contact them or just do a charge-back?

Thanks

Will do. 'Tho it seems bit odd that a company with their own domain name is using both Yahoo and Hotmail for their email.

I was a bit startled when I noticed LPGear on Ortofon's unauthorized dealers list.

Still, I've heard many good things about LPGear. Haven't ordered from them myself but as far a I'm concerned they're a trustworthy company.

Suprise, surprise...my order arrived today. Still odd that the website was never updated to show it as shipped and none of my emails were answered. Maybe they need a new IT guy.

I'm off to break in this new cart. :D

I just ordered a cartridge 4 days ago and I can't get a ship date or an e-mail reply from these folks. I sent 3 e-mails and no response... I hope I did not make a mistake by shopping for price... Maybe Needle Doctor is the way to go even if the prices are higher. I ordered 2 items from them the same day and received shipping notification yesterday. That is customer service and friendliness. My comfort level is diminishing with LPGEAR....

LPgear comes through, they just truly suck at correspondence. Of the 4 or 5 questions I've sent them, I have never received a response. If you need help or advice before an order, you're better off somewhere else. If you know exactly what you want, they're reliable.

Hi,

here's another vote of confidence. They are reliable with their item descriptions in the website, and shipping the item ordered. They do not seem to write any correspondence at all. Kind of spooky, and MAY be a condition for staying in business at the lowest possible cost.

But they have correctly shipped all orders I placed with them.

I'm sorry they are not good! They do NOT answer email if question is important or whatever.

They have taken out mounting screws of brand new headshells that should have been in the unsealed boxes. I complained and I can no longer get into my account with them. I have other issues but enough said.
